WHAT IS PHYSTA®
Physta®, is a patented proprietary water-soluble extract derived from Malaysian Eurycoma Longifolia roots. It is a standardized extract compliant to Malaysian Standard (MS 2409:2011) for ‘Phytopharmaceutical Aspect of Freeze Dried water extract from Tongkat Ali Roots- Specifications’.
Physta® an extract from roots of Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma longifolia) was jointly developed through collaborative works of the Malaysian Government and the renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT using patented extraction technology (US Patent: 7132117, EU Patent: 1313491).

Tongkat Ali (scientific name: Eurycoma longifolia) is a tropical tree that has other common names such as ‘Pasak Bumi’ (Indonesia), Cay Ba Binh (Vietnam), , Pin Yin: 东革阿里 or Dōng gé ālǐ (China), ‘Longjack’ (United States) and ‘Malaysian ginseng’. The Tongkat Ali tree grows naturally in the tropical rainforests of Malaysia and has been consumed from as far back as the 19th century for various health purposes.
Tongkat Ali is famously known for its energizing property, but it is a common traditional preparation with various health benefits such as easing fever and migraine, enhancing endurance, improving blood flow and many more.

The Tongkat Ali extract contains a variety of more than 65 compounds and is rich in bioactive compounds eurycomaoside, eurycolactone, eurycomalactone, eurycomanone and pasakbumin-B whereby the alkaloids and quassinoids form a major portion. The quassinoid compound eurycomanone is used as one of the markers for standardization.
Physta®’s standardization is based on four characteristics compounds (Eurycomanone, total protein, total polysaccharide and glycosaponin) at specific levels to ensure consistency in terms of quality and purity – compliant to Malaysian Standard (MS 2409:2011) and is patented (US Patent: 7132117, EU Patent: 1313491).
